Lucy and Grandma went out to lunch

Today was a day off for me and I spent the early part of the day at Douglas Orchard picking cherries with Sue. Then I went to North Chittenden to pick up Lucy for a promised "lunch with Grandma", that had slipped my mind but not Lucy's! Got there a little before 1 pm and there was a table full of munchers, Elliotts and Tates.

We set off in high spirits. Lucy decided McDonald's was her choice for fine dining and so that was where we went. As you can see it was not really the food she was after! We settled in with our food and soon she was off and about with about six other children about her age. It was fun for this Grandma to watch for her little face in the various portholes in the play place tubing. She did come back from time to time for another bite.

A trip to K Mart for new batteries for my camera had us detouring through the baby doll aisle and we found one poor little urchin that definitely needed Lucy's love and attention. From there we were off to Shoreham for more cherry picking. Those pictures will be for another day. Suffice it to say I had a wonderful day and I think Lucy Joy did too.

Saturday Evening June 28, 2008

A very rainy Saturday. Downtown Rutland has flooded again and my trip home from RRMC was a wet one with lots of standing water on the roads. Stopped at Iris's to remove stitches from her left hand, the result of recent hand surgery. Don and Jan Ladd were there as well celebrating Iris's birthday so I had lots of supervisors for the project. Liz's boys, Patrick and Ryan are also up this soggy weekend so had a chance to visit with them briefly on my way back to my car.

BJT heads to Bethel tomorrow and I am back for another day of medical mysteries, marvels, and mayhem. No way to spend a Sunday!

Me in my laboratory corner surrounded by all my
machines for running various lab tests. My camera
batteries were running low or you would have seen
my pink lab draw chair! Maybe next time.

For a paperless office we seem to shuffle a lot
of paper! We are a great team and I could not
get through my day without these two.

A day at the office

Tracy and Kim hard at work this afternoon. The sliding glass window looks out into our waiting room.

JOSH, CHANGE YOUR HEADING PICTURE. YOUR CURRENT ONE IS GIVING ME A FURR BALL!

Memorial Day weekend Joel and Christine and family came out for an overnight. Actually, the girls were already here and the rest came out for a relaxing overnight. (Relaxing for me as I did not have to pack for 7) We always love the chance to get together.

John came to check out the wireless.

Wowzers! I can't believe I figured this out! Thank you Job for the laptop. Thank you Job for the digital camera. Thank you Christine for the digital camera tutorial. Thank you to all of you pioneers who have had blogspots for a long time. I have so much fun careening from one to another of the blogspots looking for new posts. Now I will be less critical of your lack of fresh postings as I will have my own spot to attend to.

These pictures were taken out here at the lakehouse except for the one of BJT in front of the piano at Joel and Christines and the one of the Tate men in their backyard ready for a "corn hole" competition.

Visiting Grandma and Grandpa

Elisabeth, Grace and Lucy came to visit for an overnight during lilac time. Obadiah was feverish and so did not get to come to the lakehouse. We had a wonderful time and the visit was too soon over. These girls are wonderful houseguests and very artistic as you can see.
