April

This lovely dry Spring has allowed Barry and me to begin moving out to the lake sooner and in a more organized and leisurely manner than usual. Floors have been vacuumed and mopped, dust has been rearranged, refrigerator is on and running and most of our foodstuffs have gone over. All but one of my big plants are already in Benson. So far no sign of our snake!

We are looking forward to being back on the lake and very excited to be looking ahead to a visit from the California Tates. Of course, the big news for this Spring is the upcoming nuptials for Job and the love of his life, Lisa McNerney.

More excitement early in June when the newest Miss Tate will arrive. How we have loved having John and Lisa nearby for this time!

Busy Winter!

In 12 weeks we will be celebrating the wedding of Job and Lisa. The days are going to zip by quickly and we are trying to think of all we might need to do and be responsible for leading up to that joyous event.

We are thankful for the easy winter thus far and the hope that it will allow us to be moved back out to the lake before the end of April. Job and Lisa's wedding will take place at the Navy Chapel in Glenview, Illinois on May 5th. The following weekend a second reception will be held in Vermont for friends and church family unable to attend the Chicago event.

Josh and family will be flying from California to Chicago on May 3rd. We will get to have them here in Vermont with us after the wedding until they fly back to California from Albany on May 18th. Such a wonderful time ahead!

Josh if you are reading this. . .your lint logs are pure genius and I know Dad is hoping for another gifting of them next Christmas. He incorporates one into every fire he lays and prides himself on a "one match" start each time.

John and Lisa will be having a baby girl sometime the first part of June. This will tip the ledger to the girls' side in our grandchild count as we currently have 4 grandsons and 4 granddaughters. John and Lisa are busy people and still do a lot of traveling. This picture was taken on a recent trip to Princeton, W. Virginia for the Big Ski youth event.
